ALBERTO CARVALHO NEWS March 1, 2018. Alberto Carvalho made national headlines twice. First when it appeared like he was going to become the next Chancellor of New York City's Public School System, the largest school system in the country, and then when he abruptly changed his mind and decided to remain in his current position as Superintendent of the Miami-Dade Public School System, the nation's fourth-largest school system.
