DAVID ROSENBERG is a writer and actor based in New York City. His plays include “What Else Is True?”, which premiered at ART/NY, produced by Egg & Spoon Theatre Collective, in August 2023, and “Wicked Child,” which premiered at Zoetic Stage in Miami, FL in January 2024. His plays have been workshopped by Playwrights Horizons, Egg & Spoon, Zoetic Stage, and 29Salon. His play “I Would Never Lie to You” was commissioned by Juilliard’s Center for Innovation in the Arts, where it was meant to premiere in March 2020. The pandemic had other plans. His post-Soviet musical extravaganza “Absolutely!, with music by Luke Holloway, will have a self-produced concert presentation in February 2024, directed by Alex Shaw.

His other plays include “Revelation,” about the Messianic Jewish movement, “Undecidable Propositions,” about the Austrian logician Kurt Gödel, and “Every Other Weekend,” about his parents’ divorce. He has been an O’Neill Semi-finalist (for “Wicked Child,” and “Effect If Not Intent), a 3-time Orchard Project finalist, a semi-finalist for Ars Nova’s Play Lab and the Civilians R&D Group, and a finalist for the Lanford Wilson New Play Festival and the B Street New Comedies Festival, plus longlisted for Theatre503’s International Playwriting Award.

His short film “It’s a Dog” just finished a run of over a dozen film festivals, and his web series “Tuck & Art” was a Vimeo Staff Pick. He’s the author of the original television pilot “Absolutely!”, which was a semifinalist in the Script Pipeline TV Writing Competition, top 40 of more than 4000 entries. His pilot “Chosen People,” about rabbinical students who drink and have sex, was a semifinalist in the Nantucket Film Festival Tony Cox Screenplay competition.

As an actor he was most recently in “Death of a Salesman” on Broadway. He’s also appeared at Williamstown, Chautauqua, Carnegie Hall, and GableStage, among others. TV credits include “The Good Fight,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” and “SVU.” He holds an MFA from Juilliard and a BFA from NYU.

Zoetic Stage is currently presenting the world premiere performance of “Wicked Child” at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County from January 11-28, 2024.
