A Family of Artists
FRANCIS OLSCHAFSKIE (b.1949) has been a practicing artist for over twenty-five years. He has exhibited nationally and internationally, including The Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Museum of Modern Art, Paris, the Isetan Museum, Tokyo, and the Greek Ministry of Culture, Athens. He is also one of the pioneers of the computer graphics industry. Mr. Olschafskie did his graduate work (MSVS) at the Visible Language Workshop/Media Laboratory, at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his undergraduate studies (BFA) in Photography at Massachusetts College of Art.
ANNA POOR (b.1953) is a sculptor who comes from a family of artists with deep roots in Outer Cape Cod. She has had numerous one person and group shows and awards, including a mid-career survey in 2010 at Provincetown Art Association and Museum and a Massachusetts Artist fellowship in 2001. In 2016, Poor had a solo exhibition at Studio Arts Center International, Palazzo dei Cartelloni Gallery in Florence, Italy. She was a founder of Artstrand Gallery and is now represented by The Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown and SladmoreContemporary in London, UK. She has been on the board of Truro Center for the Arts atCastle Hill since 1988, and teaches at Northeastern University.
MONA POOR-OLSCHAFSKIE (b.1989) is a lifetime artist and the co-owner of Fin Du Monde restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in printmaking.
