PIPE YANGUAS (b.1982) is a Colombian-American photographer and visual artist, born and raised in Colombia. He moved with his family to Miami during his teenage years. His work as a photographer focuses on narrating the life story of people, portraying their passions. Yanguas earned a degree in business management from the University of Miami, then took a residential design course at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. He also pursued a 3-year photography degree at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy.

He has worked in Dubai, Beirut, Milan, Barcelona, London, and New York City, among many other locations. He has made photographs of Colombian public figures such as Cristina Umaña, Fabian Rios, Patricia Castañeda, the Venezuelan artist Nina Dotti, and the Australian-Lebanese and the Lebanese-Australian model Jessica Kahawaty.

Yanguas’ photography work takes him across the globe, from the Americas to Europe to  the Middle East, but during the COVID-19 pandemic, he stayed with his parents in Colombia and fully immersed himself in his “Dots and Lines World” series. Yanguas uses a variety of mediums including paint, video art, mixed-media, wall art, digital art, sculptures, and muralism.
