CAROLE BOLGER is an artist whose work combines drawing, sculpture, video, and digital imagery to explore emotional landscapes and the architecture of memory.
Bolger was awarded fellowships at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts, the Vermont Studio Center, Millay Colony, Yaddo, and MacDowell.
After a career as a creative director for major brands such as the GAP, Old Navy and Hanesbrands, she returned to full-time studio practice and is currently developing The Cabinet of Curiosities, an evolving archive of imagination and experience.

When I was a child, I used to copy a cheap reproduction of Renoir’s “A Girl with a Watering Can” that hung in our basement — over and over. Last year I realized that it may be more beneficial to copy a reproduction by a master, than copy an original by a mediocre artist.
